Institution Notes:

University College, Cork is one of four constituent universities of the federal National University of Ireland. It was originally founded in 1845 as Queen’s College. The College specialises in the study of Irish traditional music. The library holds the Arnold Bax Collection of Memorabilia and the Sean Ȯ Riada Collection (Balliúchán Sheáin Uí Riada) as well as a large number of recordings of traditional music. There is a collection of Western, Irish traditional and non-Western instruments, including a gamelan.
