The Sekolah Tinggi Seni Indonesia (College of Indonesian Performing Arts) is a national College that can trace its history back to 1968. It was granted its current name and status in 2014 with the aim of preserving and spreading the traditional Indonesian art forms, especially in the Sundanese style. There are Faculties of Performing Arts, Art and Design, and Culture and Media. The Faculty of Performing Arts offers programs in Karawitan music, bamboo music, traditional and modern dance, and theatre. Performers are trained using the system of oral tradition, with the help of Sundanese notation. Language of instruction is Indonesian.
