Details:
Advanced Diploma in Karnatic Vocal Music. Three years. Diploma in Music Teaching. Four years, entitling the holder to teach music in a school.
Institution Notes:
The Academy was founded in 1928. It specialises in the research and study of South Indian (Karnatak) music and houses an archive of books and music recordings. The Advanced School of Karnatic Music was established in 2010. It organises an annual music festival. The Research Centre has been affiliated with the Tumkur University. The Academy also runs a music school called the Teachers College of Carnatic Music.
