Institution Notes:

James Cook University was founded in 1970. It is situated in tropical north Queensland, with campuses in Townsville, Cairns, Mount Isa, Mackay, Brisbane and Thursday Island and Singapore. Music programs are taken within the School of Creative Arts located in Townsville at the Douglas campus of the University. A ‘Gifted and Talented’ program is organised to provide music training to selected senior high school students, enabling them to enrol for study in the School of Creative Arts as part of their senior high school certificate.
