Institution Notes:

The University was founded in 1949, but can trace its history back to 1881. The Faculty of Performing Arts has departments of dance, drama and music (Indian classical vocal and instrumental music). It specialises in the teaching of Agra Gharana style and the Kirana and Amanali Gharana music styles. Language of instruction is English.
