Institution Notes:
The Escuela Normal para Maestros de Educación Musical (ENMEN) ‘Jesús María Alvarado’ is a government-supported teachers' college founded in 1959. The programs cover the areas of music, drama and dance. A number of instruments and other pieces of equipment were donated by the government of Japan. There are programs for children and interested members of the local community.
