Bachillerato en Música. A seven-year program which students may enter from age seven. Studies in performance (piano, singing, violin, guitar, percussion), music history, theory, music in Guatemala. This is not a tertiary level program.
Institution Notes:
The Conservatory can trace its history back to 1873. It operates under the Ministry of Culture and Sport and offers performance tuition to children from as early as four years. There are departments of music, cinema, dance, literature, performing arts (drama) and visual arts. A Suzuki program is offered.
