Diploma. Studies include performance (classical, jazz, opera), composition, opera performance, early music, choral conducting, Byzantine music, music history, theory.
Institution Notes:
A private conservatory founded in 1974 that operates within the Athenaeum International Cultural Centre. There are departments of early music, theory and composition, jazz voice and opera. The Conservatory organises the Maria Callas international competition (GrandPrix ‘Maria Callas’) for pianists and singers. There is a preparatory program to prepare students for entry to the professional program as well as providing music programs for interested members of the local community. The conservatory’s baroque orchestra ensemble was founded in 1989.
