Details:
The music programs include performance (classical, jazz) for beginners and more advanced players, theory and composition, ensemble groups (youth choir, chamber groups, bands, youth orchestra). The musical theatre program offers studies in singing, acting, dance and movement.
Institution Notes:
Gibraltar's main cultural events are organised by the Ministry of Culture, though many other events are organised by individuals and groups. In 2015 the Government of Gibraltar launched the Gibraltar Academy of Music and Performing Arts (GAMPA) to offer programs in both music and drama. Students will be given further opportunities to enter for the examinations of the Associate Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). Ensembles include a youth choir and chamber music groups. It is hoped to establish a Gibraltar Youth Orchestra.
