Institution Notes:
This institution was established in 1992 as the University College of Education, as a result of the amalgamation of a number of existing colleges in the region. In 2004 it became the University of Education, Winneba. The School of Creative Arts offers programs in art, graphic design, theatre arts and music education. The music education department prepares teachers for both primary and secondary schools.
