Institution Notes:
Previously forming a branch of the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, the Hochschule became a department of the University of Münster in 2003. There are Institutes for Musicology, Music Education and Music Therapy. The Hochschule co-operates with the Hochschule für Musik Detmold. The music department organises a Youth Academy offering music training to gifted young people. Scholarships are available for students to enrol in the Orchestral Academy program. An active member of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen.
