Master of Arts. In musicology, ethnomusicology (Arabic music), music psychology, music journalism, music education. Doctor of Philosophy.

Institution Notes:

The University was established in 1472 in Ingolstadt and eventually was moved to Münich in 1826. There are Institutes for Musicology and for Music Education. The Institute holds many videos of manuscripts and photographs of medieval music. There is an Institute for Music Education with a research project on community music which is aiming to create a community music database within the Faculty of History and the School of Arts. The University is situated within two minutes’ walk from the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek (Bavarian State Library), with one of the most extensive music libraries in the world.
