Details:
Bachelor of Arts - Music Studies. Three years. A further year leads to the degree with honours. Bachelor of Music. Four years. Studies include performance (classical, contemporary), aural skills, musicology, sonic arts (sound design), pedagogy. Bachelor of Music/Education (Secondary). Five years. A double degree. Bachelor of Music may also be combined with Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor Commerce.
Institution Notes:
The University of New South Wales can trace its history back to 1843. It gained its current name and status in 1949. Facilities include a recording studio and electronic music lab. There is a collection of period instruments – fortepianos, harpsichords, recorder consorts, a Renaissance consort – as well as tuned and untuned percussion and a full set of handbells.
