Institution Notes:
This University of Protestant church music was established in 1948 and gained its current name and status in 1991. A second campus in Witten, known as the Protestant Pop Academy, offers programs in popular church music. Facilities include ten organs, a number of pianos, harpsichord, clavichord, a percussion studio and full set of brass instruments. Several short courses for non-degree students are offered. There is co-operation with the Hochschule für Musik Detmold.
