The German Centre for Music Therapy Research was founded in 1995. It is a not-for-profit institute of the University of Applied Sciences, Heidelberg (SRH Hochschule Heidelberg) and is the largest music therapy research institute in Europe. It houses an outpatient clinic for music therapy patients and a Tinnitus and Pain clinic. It conducts research into music therapy and psychotherapy topics in the fields of psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine. Member of the International Academy of Life Sciences Ins.
