Diplôme d’études musicales (DEM). A two- to three-year pre-professional program in classical and jazz performance and associated studies which may include early music, theory, aural skills and composition.

This Conservatoire can trace its history back to 1793. It is a public institution offering programs in music, theatre and classical and contemporary dance. The program is organised in cycles. The first (éveil musical’) four years, the second, four years, the third ('cycle d’orientation professionnelle') and fourth ('cycle d’enseignement supérieur professionnelle'). The Conservatoire has facilities catering for the needs of handicapped persons. The Conservatoire works in close liaison with the Université de Reims.
