Institution Notes:
This state-owned Conservatory can trace its history back to 1921 and provides music programs at university level with faculties of piano, orchestra and vocal-theoretical. Advanced courses are available in performance. There is an active opera program. Courses are taught in Armenian and English. A preparatory course is offered to those wishing to prepare for entry to the Bachelor’s program. Facilities include some fine performance spaces, a recording studio, organ studios and musical instrument workshop. The library contains over 200,000 volumes. There is a second campus in Gyumri at Ankakhoutyan Square 1, Gyumri, Armenia, Tel +374 6 936 937. An active member of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen.
