License Musicologie (DEM,= Bachelor of Arts). Three years. Studies include performance (classical, contemporary), composition, orchestral conducting, contemporary music, music history, ethnomusicology, analysis, music technology, music education. A double Bachelor's program (License) in Ethnology of the Living Arts is available. It is a multidisciplinary program in the performing arts, musicology and ethnology/anthropology.

Since 2020 the Université Côte d'Azur has been an experimental university that includes 17 major academic establishments around the historic university core to create one of France's top 10 research-intensive universities. There is a close relationship with the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Nice, allowing students to take performance classes as part of their university degree. Collaboration with the Opera of Nice enables voice students to participate in some programs. The Musicology Department has links with the International Centre of Research in Music.
