Institution Notes:
This Conservatoire, founded in 1846, is a public institution offering programs in music, classical and contemporary dance and drama. The programs have some emphasis on music, dance and culture of Breton and Celtic areas. There is close partnership with Université de Rennes II. There are centres in Nantes and Rennes. An active member of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen.
