Diplôme d’études musicales (DEM). A two- to three-year pre-professional program in classical and contemporary performance and associated studies which may include early music, theory, aural skills and composition.
Institution Notes:
Formerly known as 'Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional Montpellier Méditerranée, Montpellier', this Conservatoire can trace its history back to 1886 and gained its current name and status in 2021. It is a public institution offering programs in music, classical and contemporary dance and drama. The program is organised in cycles. The first (éveil musical’) four years, the second, four years, the third ('cycle d’orientation professionnelle') and fourth ('cycle d’enseignement supérieur professionnelle'). There is an opera program ‘Opéra Junior’ with opera and stage training for young people aged between 16 and 25.
