Diplôme d’études musicales (DEM). A two- to three-year pre-professional program in classical and jazz performance and associated studies which may include theory, aural skills and music history.
Institution Notes:
This Conservatoire is also known as a 'Conservatoire à rayonnement régional' and can trace its history back to 1793. It is a public institution offering programs in music, classical and contemporary dance, visual arts and drama. The program is organised in cycles. The first (éveil musical’) four years, the second, four years, the third ('cycle d’orientation professionnelle') and fourth ('cycle d’enseignement supérieur professionnelle'). The Conservatoire has facilities catering for the need of handicapped persons. There are links with the Pôle d'enseignement supérieur de Bourgogne. An active member of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen.
