This Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional is also known as 'Emmanuel Chabrier Conservatoire'. It can trace its history back to 1905 and gained its current name and status in 2015. This Conservatoire is a public institution offering programs in music, classical and contemporary dance and drama. The program is organised in cycles. The first (éveil musical’) four years, the second, four years, the third ('cycle d’orientation professionnelle') and fourth ('cycle d’enseignement supérieur professionnelle'). In addition to the professional program the Conservatoire offers programs to interested persons in the local community.
