Diplôme d’études musicales (DEM). A two- to three-year pre-professional program in classical and contemporary performance and associated studies which may include early music, theory, aural skills and composition.
Institution Notes:
A public institution with campuses in both Aubervilliers and La Courneuve. The conservatoire offers programs in music, theatre and classical and contemporary dance. The program is organised in cycles. The first (preparatory) (éveil musical’), four years, the second, four years, the third ('cycle d’orientation professionnelle') and fourth ('cycle d’enseignement supérieur professionnelle'). The Conservatoire also offers music tuition to interested members of the local community. Ensembles include choirs, orchestra and various instrumental groups. There are links with the Pôle d'Enseignement Supérieur de la Musique Seine-Saint-Denis, Île-de-France.
