Details:
Bachelor of Culture and Arts, Music Pedagogue. Four years. Studies include performance (classical, jazz/pop), musicology, theory, analysis, composition, choral and instrumental conducting, music technology, music pedagogy.
Institution Notes:
Established in 1999, the University’s Kuopio Academy of Music and Dance works in close co-operation with the Kuopio Conservatory and the Kuopio branch of the Sibelius Academy, all sharing the same building, the Kuopio Music Centre. The Conservatory offers music programs to interested children and young people in the local community. There is a regular summer academy of music. Language of instruction is Finnish, with some programs being taught in English. An active member of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen.
