Master of Arts. In musicology (Western music, popular music, Finnish music), ethnomusicology, dance, sound. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Institution Notes:

The University can trace its history back to its establishment in Turku in 1640. It was transferred to Helsinki in 1829. This is a graduate school only. Performance studies are not offered within the Department, but there is a well-equipped music research laboratory. There are courses in Finnish, Swedish and English. Member of the University of the Arctic.
