Music education program. Three years. Available to people between the ages of 14 and 25. Music programs for babies and young children up to age 6.
Institution Notes:
The Faroe Music School occupies a brand-new building (2019) in Tórshavn and thirteen branch institutions dotted around the islands. each of which is a local music school where children and young people may take studies in performance (piano, keyboard, guitar, strings, flute, clarinet, brass and percussion instruments, drum kit), ensemble (string orchestra, wind ensembles, big band ‘Jassinar’, rock and jazz ensembles), as well as music theory. The school also offers tuition in violin, violoncello, double bass and flute using the Suzuki method. Students may prepare to take the examinations of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in the UK.
