Institution Notes:
The St Cecilia School of Music was established in 1974 in Launceston, Tasmania. Alongside its teaching program it organises a series of music examinations with affiliates in other Australian states and New Zealand as well as in Hong Kong, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan and Italy. The examination system is known as ‘St. Cecilia Examinations International’ and caters for beginners through to advanced performance. Solo performance in classical and modern styles is offered in piano, orchestral instruments, guitar, drum kit, ukulele, and singing, in piano duet, piano accompaniment and in choral and instrumental ensemble performance. Theory and composition are also offered.
