Institution Notes:
The Hadahur Music School was established in Dili in association with the Mary MacKillop East Timor organisation in Sydney, New South Wales. Following a long period of foreign occupation Timor Leste gained its independence in 2002 and was seeking to re-establish its former musical traditions. The Hadahur Music School had programs for interested persons of all ages and early childhood music classes 'Teke Toke Inan Muzika' for communities all over the country. Sadly the school project was closed in 2015 though the early childhood classes were to be maintained. The current state of the institution is unknown.
