This is the entry of the Carrefour International of Horse Riders (Hikers, Tourists) in Togo, known as CIR-TOGO, created in 2012. It is a Togolese non-profit humanitarian voluntary association, registered with the Togo Ministry of Territorial Administration. It works to promote sustainable tourism, respectful behaviour, the environment and African culture in order to create cultural exchanges, and welcomes international trainees or volunteers. CIR-Togo is building a tourist 'camp' to attract tourists to "come and discover or rediscover rural life in Togo for 3 weeks while being supervised by the cheerful and dynamic CIR-Togo team (guides, animators, artists)". Its activities consist of music, dance, Togo dining and interacting with life of the people through assisting with workshops and other typical activities. It offers programs in dance and percussion through its Katamasu performing troupe, where day classes and intensive workshops are held in learning the basics and gestures of the djembe and its history. Other workshops are offered in batiks and jewellery.
