Details:

Bachelor of Science in Music Business, Musicology and Technology. Four years. Studies include performance (keyboard, guitar, recorder, marimba, mbira), music history, ethnomusicology, popular music, Zimbabwean traditional genres, styles and dances, theory. Electives include composition, music management, instrument construction.

Institution Notes:

This government owned University was founded in 2000 and offers courses mainly in the commercial and arts sector. It was formerly known as Gweru Teachers' College. The main campus is in Gweru, with others in Zvishavane and Harare. The Music & Musicology Department has an archive of children’s traditional songs.
