Institution Notes:

This private historically black university can trace its history back to 1879. Historically related to the Baptist Church and formerly known as the Florida Memorial College, it gained its current name and status in 2006. The Department of Visual & Performing Arts offers programs in music, art, theatre and dance. It owns a set of steel pans.
