Details:
Bachelor of Arts. Studies in performance (Western, Turkish instruments), Turkish folk and religious music, music history, theory, forms and styles.
Institution Notes:
The University was established in 1978, the Faculty of Fine Arts being established in 1993. It has departments of painting, sculpture, music, ceramics, graphic design, stage design and performing arts. The Department of Music commenced operation in 1995 with programs in Turkish classical music and traditional Turkish folk music. There are branches of the university in some other towns and cities in Turkey. Language of instruction is Turkish.
