Details:
Bachelor of Music (=Diploma). Studies in performance on Western instruments, traditional Iranian instruments (tar, sitar, santour, oud, ney, kamancheh, daf, tonbak, Iranian violin, voice). There are programs in opera, early music, jazz/popular styles, folk music, world music, pedagogy, choral and instrumental conducting (in collaboration with the Nahavand Higher Education Institute), composition, theory, Western and Persian music history, music and technology.
Institution Notes:
The Conservatory was founded in 1995. It is a post-secondary institution operating a Modular Learning System program under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. In addition to its professional programs the Conservatory's Community School offers music tuition to young children and interested members of the local community. There is some collaboration with a number of international music institutions.
