The music teacher training program involves supervised teaching practice of instrumental learning, school choir and performing experiences, with studies in pedagogy, choral conducting.
Institution Notes:
The University was established in 1979 to provide higher education opportunities for those living in the far reaches of northern Finland. It houses the Arctic Centre which conducts research into the interactions between people and the environment in the Arctic. The Teacher Training School is a primary school with Grades 1-9. The international secretariat of the University of the Arctic is currently housed at the University of Lapland.
