Programs in performance (piano, organ, recorder, flute, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone/euphonium, tuba, classical and electric guitar, percussion, steel pan, strings, voice), theory, composition, jazz studies, Suzuki method (strings, piano). There is a choir.
Institution Notes:
The not-for-profit Bermuda School of Music was established in 1978. It offers individual and group music instruction to young people and adults. A Community Education Initiative began in 2003 by providing free Suzuki violin lessons to all year 1 and 2 students at Purvis primary school, later expanding to other schools and community centres under the name 'Every Kid Can'. It also includes a free children's choir and a steel pan orchestra. A Mini Music Makers program is also offered.
