The SAE College was founded in 1977 in Sydney, Australia, and currently has 56 colleges in 24 countries around the world. Its head office is located in Littlemore Park, Oxford, UK. It is one of the largest institutions for audio, multimedia and digital film education in the world, with courses in such areas as audio engineering, filmmaking, electronic music production, multimedia and web design, animation, music business and games programming. Formerly known as the SAE School of Audio Engineering, in 1994 it changed its name to SAE Technology College and is now known as the SAE Institute.
