Institution Notes:

The University can trace its history back to 1502 with the establishment of the University of Wittenberg. The Faculty of Philosophy contains the separate institutes of musicology (Philosophy II) and music education (Philosophy III) which are located close to the Handel House and the Protestant College of Church Music at the Handel Square. There are programs of support for refugees.
