The SAE College was founded in 1976 in Sydney, Australia, and currently has 49 campuses in 23 countries around the world. It is one of the largest institutions for audio, multimedia and digital film education in the world, with courses in such areas as audio engineering, filmmaking, electronic music production, multimedia and web design, animation, music business and games programming. Formerly known as the SAE School of Audio Engineering, in 1994 it changed its name to SAE Technology College and is now known as the SAE Institute.
