Institution Notes:
The University was founded in 1884 as an institution to train teachers and preachers. Affiliated with the United Methodist Church, it gained its current name and status in 2010. The Falany Performing Arts Center houses the music department. There are some fine performing spaces. The music department is a Kawai EPIC school.
