Details:
Training of young musicians to serve in military and pipe bands.
Institution Notes:
The Army School of Music can trace its history back to 1923. The bands perform at both military and civilian events, ceremonials and festivals. There are also pipe bands. In addition to its ceremonial duties, the school organises free public recitals in parks and provides school concerts for educational purposes. Entry is by audition of at least Grade 7 standard, with age between 17 and 28 years.
