Regular workshops and master classes in solo performance and chamber music.

The Academy was founded in 1989. It aims to encourage performance at the highest level and musical creativity, particularly among young people. It holds regular master classes and workshops in composition and musicology under the guidance of artists of international renown, with repertoire ranging from the baroque to the present day with particular emphasis on chamber music. There are also residential music seminars and musicological conferences. The Academy commissions works from young composers who are given the opportunity to have their work premiered at the Academy. There is a fine collection of keyboard instruments made available to students for master classes and rehearsals. An associate member of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen.
