Institution Notes:
The former Šiauliai University was founded in 1997, though it can trace its history back to 1948. In 2021 it became a part of Vilnius University and was renamed Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy. Within the Department of Music Education and visual Arts the music section consists of two departments: the Department of Music Theory and Pedagogy, and the Department of Conducting and Singing. There is an Educational Research Centre.
