Details:
Bachelor of Arts. Four years. An interdisciplinary program in which music studies include history and analysis of Western music, contemporary music, Japanese music, ethnomusicology, organ music, computer music, music theory, introduction to music management, music in world religions, film music. There are no programs in performance or composition.
Institution Notes:
A private non-denominational co-educational university founded in 1949 on Christian principles, enrolling its first degree students in 1953. There is an attached high school and a sacred music centre. The Tama Academic Consortium enables students to take music courses at the Kunitachi College of Music or the Musashino Art University for credit.
