A private co-educational school founded in 1965, located in an attractive campus about fifty minutes from central Tokyo. Facilities include a large music library, an auditorium, practice rooms with pianos and an audio-visual laboratory. There is an opera society. An Institute of Music contains a laboratory for the production of CDs and videos. There are attached junior and high schools. In 1991 a branch was established in Vienna, Austria (Toho Wien Akademie) as well as a second campus in Tokyo. In addition to the professional program the College offers music tuition to young children and interested members of the local community.
