Institution Notes:

The co-educational Ōsaka Kyoiku Daigaku (Ōsaka University of Education) can trace its history back to 1874 and gained its current name and status in 1949. There are nine affiliated schools - three elementary, three junior high, one high school, a school for disabled children and one kindergarten. The University has campuses in Osaka city and Kashiwara. At the Osaka city Tennoji campus is the only national evening faculty in Japan for the training of teachers.
