Institution Notes:
A local national co-educational university founded in 1986. The are faculties of music and arts and crafts. The University has been instrumental in the continuation and development of Okinawa's traditional arts, including the designation of the 'Kumiodori' musical drama as a UNESCO Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage. Facilities include a Balinese gamelan and a set of Wadaiko drums.
