Institution Notes:
A private co-educational university originally founded in 1930 on Buddhist principles. It gained its current name and status in 1966. Facilities include a large concert hall and an outdoor theatre. The attached Sakuyo Junior College offers a music program in performance on Western or traditional Japanese instruments. There is some co-operation with the Moscow Conservatory.
