Institution Notes:

A national co-educational university founded in 1965, though it can trace its history back to 1873. There are exchange agreements with universities in USA, England, China and Australia. Facilities include a Balinese gamelan. The university has attached schools for teacher training purposes. The Department of Music Education organises an annual Shounkai Kusic Festival as well as an annual opera performance.
