Institution Notes:

A prefectural co-educational university founded in 1966. The music department consists of divisions of musicology, composition and performance. Facilities include an 850-seat concert hall with orchestra pit, recording room and a pipe organ. The University has established a Center for Promoting Fine Arts and Music within the local community.
