Institution Notes:
Founded in 1978, this government-run Centre is dedicated to the promotion of culture and the arts, including dance and music with programs in classical music and traditional Mexican music and dance. It aims to develop young artists to their full potential. The Centro organises workshops, exhibitions and concerts. There is a musical instrument workshop. Attached is s a junior department in which students may begin studies from age 7. The Centre houses the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico City.
